| Roman Hotel Paphos Cyprus |
ROMAN HOTEL is an excellent choice for great value, very unique with the decor and certainly stands out from the other hotels in the area. Rooms are nice, clean and with huge floor to ceiling mirrors (great for couples :-)) which is making them look spacious, even the hairdryer was good and powerful, the only thing what is missing is kettle but the bar and restaurant provide boiling water anytime. All the staff is very friendly, helpful and funny (especially the barman who makes very nice cocktails). Restaurant is overlooking the pool area and there is plenty of choice on the breakfast buffet. Dinners are buffet style also, each day different scheme and for 13 Euros you certainly wont be disapointed. Pool is good size with sunny and shady areas around it to relax on plus don’t forget if you prefer full on sun you can try the pool on the roof of the Roman 2 Hotel cross the road. I loved this hotel not only for its decor, but for the great location also. The Roman is also in the perfect location if you only wish to take in the local tourist sites such as: Tomb of the Kings, Paphos Mosaics and Paphos Fort, they a long with other little gems in the area are within walking distance (about 15 mins). If you walk down to the harbour you will find a perfect location for a afternoon drink, I recommend the Hobo Cafe, also the area is surrounded by many restaurants and bars. |
| Roman Hotel Paphos Cyprus |
This hotel is so unique and in a central
location with buses nearby to take you to the market - this
opens Mon/Sat 6am until 2pm - harbour and Coral Bay ( a posy
beach area with some shops to boot). There is definately a beach
within 400m as stated. It is a municipal beach which has
sunloungers and portaloos and somewhere to have food and drinks.
It is situated just round the corner from the hotel along the
main road where the buses run and is clearly signposted and is
roughly a 5-10minute walk (well it used to be). There is alot to
do if you have the energy in the heat in the summer or else you
could visit when it is not so hot. Dining room for both breakfast and dinner excellent choice, eat as much as you like, infact we did not need food for rest of day. Yes food may have been cool but staff helped, putting lids back on food when customers couldn't be bothered. Pool is good size with sunny and shady areas around it to relax on plus don’t forget if you prefer full on sun you can try the pool on the roof of the Roman 2 Hotel cross the road. |
| Hotel Veronica Paphos Cyprus |
After reading some not so good reviews on the
Veronica I was a bit concerned at what we would find, but in all
honesty the hotel is very good for the price. We had a pool view from our room, air conditioning which was very effective and could be left on when out so room was cool when you returned. The room was cleaned everyday, towels and bed linen every other day and the staff where all pleasant and helpful particularly the restaurant staff who where all very cheerful and friendly! The pool area was clean and there where plenty of sunbeds because a lot of people use the verronica as a base visiting family in other hotels there where always sunbeds whatever time of day! We went half board which i would do again there was lots of choice at Breakfast ranging from cereal, toast, cake, continental or cooked breakfast which was always fresh and plenty of it, Dinner was different everyday and lots of choice ranging from different salads, soups, meats, potatoes, pasta and vegetables and lots of different deserts and fruit each day. The bar was brilliant offering a good selection of Cypriot local wines and spirits served by the delightful Deanna who made our stay most enjoyable. |
| Hotel Venus Beach Paphos Cyprus |
The location is about a 30min walk into the
harbour ,but there is a regular bus into Paphos harbour. The
rooms are spacious and regular cleaned on a virtual day basis&
cleanliness is a high standard in rooms & resturant. We stayed on
a B&B basis and the breakfast was such a great variety -"You
Will Not Starve"!! The ammenities are great& the gym & pool are top, especially the pool with the waterfall features. But i would come back again due to speaking to other holiday makers who enjoyed there stay as much as me. |
| Crown Resort Henipa Larnaca Cyprus |
Just spent a week at the Henipa and I really think I must have been in a different hotel than the people who have written some of the reviews here. We had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean, comfortable and there was plenty to do. The hotel pool was fabulous - cleaned daily of leaves etc and lovely and warm. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, and they even dealt with a complaint [not about the hotel] swiftly and efficiently. The hotel setting is lovely with flowers all round the grounds, the pool is kept clean at all times and the rooms improved, the swim up bar ideal for when your having a swim to cool down . The local beach [about five minutes walk] wasn't brilliant, it was pebble, but the water was great. A little ten minute walk further down the coast took you to the sandy area, so it wasnt too bad at all. The resort centre is just a 15 minute walk away, however there is a little supermarket within five minutes walk that sells everything you could need. |
| Hotel Lordos Beach Larnaca Cyprus |
We have just returned from a week at the Lordos Beach Hotel. Our room was a mini suite with private patio area and shared jacuzzi. The room was spotless and the shower in the en-suite superb. The TV choice for enlish guests was the only real downfall in the room,I don't consider BBC news 24 and CNN news great choices. The individual room air con is not switched on before May and I found the room hot even with the heating turned off, this is due to the sun facing patio doors which act as big magnifying glass to project heat into the room, having said that with the patio doors open overnight I slept in the lovely bed well. The hotel staff were all very nice, if you take the time to chat to them they happily chat back. The breakfast consisted of an excellent choice, the Poseidon Beach Bar served various delights from a toasted sandwich to kebabs ideal for lunch and being able to eat outside made it all the more enjoyable. . |
| Napa Mermaid Ayia Napa Cyprus |
This hotel has got to be the best hotel I
have ever stayed in! It is asboloutly beautiful - staff couldnt
do enough for you. There are free tea and coffee making
facilities and a fridge for hire (5 euros a day - quite
expensive, but necessary). The sea views are lovely and the
beach is across the road (down a very steep path). Breakfasts
are delicious (try the porridge) and the lobby and bar areas are
very stylish. There is evening entertainment in the bar and
possibility to dance depending on the band playing. To the town
centre it is only a 15-20 minute walk with plenty of Taverns and
pubs for evening entertainment. This hotel sets a standard as what 4 star should be. Excellent.! I am definitely planning to stay there again on my next trip to Cyprus. |
