Merton Hotel |
The Merton Hotel is a nice clean hotel The
rooms appeared to have been recently refurbished and mine was
en-suite, although a bit small, the rooms have a tv, radio and
tea and coffee making facilities. TVs in the room had a
reasonable selection of channels (by UK standards) and
incredibly, included 5 movie channels - all of which were free
to watch. Food was very good, and the breakfast was exceptional, fast service and plenty of choice. The evening entertainment for the kids club was very good and on a par with other holiday companies I have used in the past. The main attraction for us was the adjoining AquaDome which was free to use for hotel guests. The staff there were great, and very surprisingly, the place was very quiet most of the time. The kids particularly enjoyed the lazy river, the water slide and the new flowrider. All in all, the Aquadome made the break for us, and would be the main reason for returning rather than going anywhere else on Jersey. The crèche at the aqua dome was good as it meant myself and the wife could have a swim without having to worry about the children. It was a pleasant change to go to Jersey for our holiday, and I will go back again. |
