Property Stayed In Customer Comments
Alcudia Hotel
Alcudia
Majorca
This was our third visit to this hotel and we had another pleasant stay. The hotel is pretty much the same as our last visit, our room was fine with comfortable beds with clean bed linen. The shower/toilet was clean and the shower had hot and powerful water but please note, they don’t supply soap and shower gel.
The restaurant was pretty much the same as last year. Breakfast was plentiful with a variety of cereals and hot dishes – eggs, sausages, bacon, beans etc etc. We were half board so we didn’t have lunch. Evening meals consisted of a variety of hot and cold dishes and a selection of desserts. One other change I noticed this year is that the entertainments team (animation) is now all British and they put activities on throughout the day including Archery, pistol shooting, pool games etc plus entertainment in the evening. The swimming pool is quite small so we used the lovely beach by an equally lovely sea just a stone’s throw away across the road. Sun loungers are the same price as last year at 4.50 euro’s each for the day including parasol. There is also a beach bar here selling beer cold drinks and snacks. Alcudia is really split into three areas, the old town with its Roman ruins, the port end which is quite cosmopolitan with its marina of many (expensive) boats, and then there is the lively end, the area past what I call the “Burger King roundabout”. Here you have many late night bars, clubs and restaurants.

Sun Beach Apartments
Santa Ponsa
Majorca
I have just returned from sun beach apartments in santa ponsa majorca! The apartments were lovely and clean and the room maids were very polite and kept the apartment in fab condition daily! The pool was very private, basically what im trying to say is for the holiday makers at the apartments only! There was a pool bar just buy the pool for all your refreshments and snacks so you dont have to walk far! The biggest topic of this review is the receptionists, they were great! Especially janine! She spoke in all sorts of languages, perfect spanish and english, french and german! The resort of santa ponsa in general is perfect if you want a bit of everything in your holiday, its in a nice area for beach in the day and a great nightlife. Its also close enough to magaluf for a night out but you wouldnt know if nobody told you! Its also in easy travelling distance of Palma which is a gorgeous cultural city where you can spend a good few days. The airports nice and close as well, so it really has everything!!

Africa Mar,
C'an Picafort
Mallorca

From Blackpool

What a waste of time some holiday reviews can be, I had booked online with jet2holidays for a weeks stay at the Africamar apartments, from Blackpool for a week self catering holiday this year. Before we went I went onto Holiday Watchdog website and the results I saw frightened me, ranging from 0/10 to 9/10 so I decided after much arguments to just go with the flow and try it. Well some people must complain for the hell of it. From the moment we got off the transfer coach we were made to feel very welcome, the rooms are nice and clean and more than enough space. The entertainment at the night was bingo or Karaoke, but if your on holiday why would you stay in at night Doh. People who book this hotel should remember this is a 3 star hotel and as such you get 3 star facilities, if you want better facilities and want to stay in the hotel all night and every day book a 4 or 5 star, but this hotel is PERFECT for just getting your head down at the end of the night

Hotel Piscis
Alcudia
Majorca

My friend and I have just returned from the Hotel Piscis, Alcudia. First impressions were good the rooms were small but clean. The hotel is all inclusive the best thing about that is you dont have to wear a silly wrist band, The rooms are reasonable size and spotless, cleaned daily, towels and bed lined changed every couple of days. Food was lovely lots to choose from, All staff were lovely and friendly they couldnt do enough for us. The pool area was great with plenty sunbeds although not sure what it would be like in height of season. The location of the hotel was good and only a few minutes from the beach and the shops.Overall we have no complaints and are going back again for another week in September as was great value for money.

Hotel Uyal
Puerto de Pollensa
Majorca

Check in was quite smooth and we were not asked for a credit card, as someone had told us, presumably because we had not booked a suite and therefore did not have the use of a mini-bar. The receptionist did take our passports and say that they would be available for collection the following day but when I said I preferred not to leave them he photocopied the relevant pages and gave them back there and then. The resort is beautiful. The beach is extensive, very clean despite the best efforts of our smoking brethren and just accross the road from the hotel entrance. The ten minute walk into the resort centre is just about right and once there you can experience all the delights of a typical Mallorcan town.

VIva Costa Portals Hotel
Portals Nous
Majorca

I cant make much sense of some the other reviews detailed here. We have just returned from a week at the Costa Portals and thought it was a good, clean hotel in a nice quiet location. We received a warm welcome on arrival. We hired a car from the airport and mostly used this to go to Puerto Portals but we did take on those hill climbs a couple of times! Good exercise but if you are less - abled a car is best. Parking was always availble on the road outside the hotel.
We were told to leave our stuff in one place in the room and the staff would move it for us while we were out. There is a lovely beach in a little cove but not for those who cannot walk well as it is down a very steep hill and is quite a climb back up - but well worth it if you can make it. Our stuff had been moved to a lovely room with pool and sea view when we returned and we had a very pleasant stay.

Sol Cala Blanca
Palma Nova
Majorca

Just returned from a weeks holiday in Palma Nova and the Sol Cala Blanca. I cannot really fault the hotel in that it is clean and does provide everything which it states it does. The location is excellent for the beach and the local amenities, Rooms with a sea view have sun on the balcony in the morning and land view rooms in the afternoon. The variety of food in the restaurant is excellent and extensive so there are always options for even the most fussy eaters.
The staff are very helpful and genuinely want to help you. Many having worked at the hotel for years.

Gran Playa Hotel
Sa Coma
Majorca

The hotel staff could not have been more friendly and helpful with the maids and desk staff always greeting you with a smile. the pool was cleaned every day and the rooms were cleaned every day except sundays and thursdays which was clearly stated anyway, clean towels every day and no reps shouting into microphones by the pool all day like some resorts in the med. we had no children with us but found the hotel fine for a couple, the beautiful beach, shops and restaruants were a short walk away. we did not go all inclusive so did not have the food at the hotel but this was never advertised as a 5 star hotel so i think some people had unrealistic expectations about what to expect.

Hotel Plaza
Santa Ponsa
Majorca

We have just come back from Plaza Hotel Santa Ponsa, it was our first time in this resort as we usually go to Cala Bona. The hotel was ideally situated for the beach, being only about 300 metres walk away, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. Hotel very clean and staff very friendly and welcoming, food was well cooked and there were usually four dishes to choose from, however drinks were a little pricey in the restaurant and bar. Whilst we were there there was a festival which incoporated o funfair and bizzarre which was noisy into the night but there was a fantastic atmosphere and this did not distract from our enjoyment.

More Hotel
Alcudia
Majorca

Had the best holiday ever. The reviews we read had us worried, but boy were they wrong. The hotel was clean and tidy, rooms were cleaned everyday to an excellent standard. We didn't pay for air conditioning as it was already working when we got to our room. So before you shell out for it just try switiching it on and the likelyhood is it will work. Although looking like a Crossroads throwback from the 1970's the facilities at the hotel are excellent. We were half board and the food each day at breakfast and dinner was fine, fresh and plenty of it (although some of the combinations were a little random, grilled hake or ravioli for example!!) The pool was very quiet when we were there as most people tended to sit on the beach and the gardens overlooking the sea. There are plenty of little secluded beaches (some of them a bit rocky) within a 10 min walk of the hotel.

Aparthotel Alcudia Pins
Alcudia

Mallorca
On arrival at Alcudia Pins we were mighty impressed with the entrance , there are glass panels set in the floor outside the main doors and below is a fish pond with a load of nice Koi in there, The reception is 1st class - nice and cool and all tiled floors and a big desk. There was no one waiting to get checked in so after about 5 mins we had our door key - ( which is a key card - which means you can keep it in your wallet and not have to lug a key around the whole time) We did go for the upgrade of a booked room with a pool view and as the hotel is set out in 9 blocks we were gald we did . We were on the 2nd floor up as requested and although this cost us 70 euro it was worth every penny. The bottom floor balconies are right beside the pool and the sun bathers and with small children we thought the 2nd floor up was more secure and not high enough up to be dangerous for small kids. There are signs up that loungers cant be reserved but everyone had there towels down by 9 am so if you wanted i would recommend you put your towels down early as you would never get one if you left it to later. The pool is great with a big free water slide that my 5 year old was down about 200 times during the week trip. (a bit of advice on the slide if you wear speedos / bikini you will fly down it - wear swim shorts and you will stick going down it, as found out by many a dad.) The half board option is a must if your from the UK as the cost of eating out is mad - (20 - 30 euros for a simple lunch of 3 small pizzas and a round of drinks ) the self service half board restaurant is great and has a wide variety of food to suit all tastes but in peak season it would be bedlam i would suspect but you can eat as much as you want and a breakfast there is eggs /bacon toasties and you can get free juice / coffee - although you have to but your drinks at evening meal and 1 bottle beer . and 3 fantas were 11 euros. so we got 2 bottle of water at 3.70 euros and that done the four of us

Hotel Teix
Palma Nova
Majorca

If you're after cheap as chips with no fuss, then this is it. We were all well excited.....until we read the reviews, we was all like 'what have we done!' i tell you what, whoever has left them comments need to get a grip. What are you expecting?? A 5 star?? Dont get me wrong it is basic, but its all you need! The bar staff were friendly enough with us (big shout out to Micky the geordie). Was a bit disappointed with the prices though. DO NOT buy bottles, buy pints of local spanish lager at 1.75 euro. a bottle of magners was about 5.60 i think. The free breakfast they serve is basically just toast / croissants but it was ok, this is only served until 10am. Not really a problem as you have eastenders just opposite serving full english for about 6 euros. The location you can't argue with though! Bang in the centre! The best places to go are BCM for the big nights and Bananas. You buy a wristband for bananas for 12 euro and then you get euro drinks till 2am, BCM is a must, they have some great nights on in that place. Great place for a bargain price.

Hotel Samos
Magaluf
Majorca

Its a brilliant hotel, friendly fun staff, the hotel is kept very clean and well maintained, there is kids clubs to keep the kiddies busy every day as well as things for the adults to do, there is a very large swimming pool (with an outdoor bar nearby), the rooms are medium sized but more than that they are kept very clean.
There is evening entertainment which varies night to night, and the samos is only a short stroll to a cracker of a beach, it is surrounded by shops, discos and pubs (the square right beside it is full of them), there is pubs/dancing right next to the samos (the funny thing is you dont really notice vary much noise coming from them even though they are very popular, for a small fee you can drink all you want in a disco next door to the samos!
The bar staff at the samos as well as the dinining, management, entertainment, cleaning and managament staff are very funny and have a good sense of humour as well as being very friendly. I loved the place so much last year i`m going back in a few weeks with my wife (and leaving the kids at home).... I just can`t wait!.

Belvedere Hotel
Cala Mayor
Majorca

Mrs Marina Edwards

I am writing to say what a lovely time we have at the Belvedere Hotel.
Our check in was speedy, our room was spotlessly clean and quite spacious and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and change of towels etc. I was especially impressed to see one of the cleaners dusting the ceiling fan one day!
The same goes for all communal areas, the pool and toilets were spotlessly clean. Dining Room also the same and tables cleared and tableclothes changed quickly when necessary. The food was delicious and varied, so was the choice of snacks at the pool bar, very good indeed! The gardens were lovely and very well kept. We saw staff constantly cleaning all areas which kept the hotel looking spotless. If we asked at reception for anything, it was done almost immediately (our friends asked for extra pillows).
We were all impressed with the courtesy bus to Palma Nova and your location, so close to Palma on the bus just outside the hotel. The local beach at Cala Mayor was also very pretty.
Generally, our holiday was better than we had expected, we were all very much impressed with the set up and running of your hotel.
Only two things we would like to recommend which you must be asked for all the time. Firstly, air conditioning in the bedrooms would be brilliant. Our room overlooked the car park so we got the last of the evening sun - I know, we're not complaining, but found it so hot at night we had to sleep with the door open, which isn't recommended.
Secondly, the courtesy room/showers/luggage room providing was brilliant but could you provide an electric plug somewhere, even in the toilets opposite so us ladies could wash and dry our hair before departing home. It would make our last day in the pool so much more enjoyable! Not to worry though, we managed to try and keep our hair dry when swimming!
inally, just to say a big thank you to all your staff for making our stay at the Belvedere a very pleasant one, we had a fabulous holiday with you and would definitely recommend you to our friends. So until next time
